We build our social responsibility and our actions for sustainable development around the principle that our company is not independent from the environment and local community interests.
Accordingly, we are making many efforts to protect our environment and promote sustainable development.
In order to reduce our grid electricity demand for production, we use renewable energy sources, with the installation of a solar PV self-consumption reduction power plant of a nominal capacity of 395kVA in 2023. In addition, we use the heat generated in our production activities to produce hot water for domestic hot water using a heat exchange equipment, thus reducing the use of fossil fuels.
In order to reduce our use of paper, we transmit accounting documents (e.g. invoices, delivery notes) electronically to our partners whose business is suitable for electronic data interchange (EDI). For the same reason, the contracting process with some partners is also paperless and electronic.
Our social engagement aims to support local communities by providing financial and in-kind support to help keep these communities and organisations running. Within the framework of this, each year, we provide financial support to the geographically competent firefighters’ association and to the local municipality for the organisation of the annual Potato Festival, as well as in-kind support for community initiatives to improve the infrastructure of the local community centre (IKSZ).
Our social engagement and efforts for sustainable development go beyond our legal obligations.
